 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actor, comedian and activist After immigrating to America her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. She began her career as an actor for children. In AT&T television commercials she played the character of Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 until 2016 and into until 2020. She was also a frequent series regular on Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She was also regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub is also the voice of Squirrel Girl on the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after she was chosen to voice the character in the unaired TV pilot of New Warriors. Vayntrub is a Jewish person, was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. At the age of 2, she immigrated with her parents to the U.S. to escape antisemitism. She was able to settle in West Hollywood. Due to her family's financial problems, she started acting in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. Following her sophomore year, she dropped out and earned a GED. She continued however to earn an undergraduate degree in Arts Communication degree from the University of California San Diego. She learned how to perform improv from the Upright Citizens Brigade.
