Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23rd in 1992. She is an American performer, songwriter, and actress. Noted for her distinctive raspy voice, her music is a blend of elements from a variety of genres and styles, including pop, country pop, hip hop, experimental and rock. With 13 entries, Cyrus holds the record for the most US Billboard 200 top five albums of the 21st century performed by an artist who is female. The public image, her personal life image, and performances often provoked controversy and received widespread media attention. Cyrus is daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus country music singer, was a household name as a teenager when she played the main character on Disney Channel's Hannah Montana (2006-2011). Hannah Montana was a US Billboard 200 number one, three-times top five soundtrack artist, as well as the US Billboard Hot 100's Top Ten single, "He Could Be The One". Cyrus's own discography includes the US number-one albums Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), Breakout (2008) and Bangerz (2012) and the top five album releases, Can't be Tamed (2017) Younger Now (2017) and Plastic Hearts (2020); and the Miley Cyrus and His Dead Petz (2015). As an actress, Cyrus was featured in animated films Bolt (2008) and the feature films Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009) and The Last Song (2010). Cyrus has been a coach for The Voice, a singing competition, over two seasons. She also starred as Ashley Too in "Rachel, Jack, and Ashley Too" on Netflix's Black Mirror (2019). Cyrus is a strong advocate for animal rights. In 2014, she embraced the vegan lifestyle. She established the Happy Hippie Foundation in 2014. It is a charity that focuses on youth homelessness as well as the LGBT community.
